Autumn colors are in for Spring

Today I learned that one of the must-haves in one's wardrobe this Spring is a dress or shirt in an Autumn color? Yes ladies, I thought that this S, but incorporating one or more of these colors--mustard, ginger, saffron, pumpkin, is not only in, but looks flattering on all complexions. If you have are more of a paler shade, try a more subtle, but still bold color like marigold.

Geometric Print Dress

I always tell my friends that if you are decided to go to a party, then you should look smashing. If you’re not in a mood for a party, better stay at home. Why do I say that? Because I’ve noticed that when women look at pictures taken at parties, they all get depressed and start criticizing their outfits.

For my next party, I’ve selected a black and white dress with geometric print from Suzi Chin. It’s a classic model, but I’m sure I’ll be remarked by the other guests.

Diaphanous Dress

Floral dresses are a must have this summer. While I was looking for a darring dress to wear it at my ex’s wedding, I found this cute floral dress from Red Herring. It’s not suitable for a big event like a wedding, but it’s very nice for a hot summer day. The short puff sleeves and the print makes it perfect for a romantic outfit.

Long skirts are our friends

When you start shopping for your Spring wardrobe, don't just set your sights on short and mid-length skirts. Try adding a little diversity in your lengths with a nice long skirt. It would definitely add as much flare as their shorter counterparts. Nordstrom's Karen Kane Skirt is a perfect example.

Utility Shirtdress

Loaded with detail, Gap's utility dress achieves the military look quite well. However, it's cut tends to be very straight. You may need to buy one size up to be comfortable in the chest area. The fabric is thick and provides a great canvas for accessories. Try pairing it with buckle boots or sandals. This dress is available at the Gap and starts at $54.50.

Dress Shirt for the Big Date

How about wearing a dress shirt and pair of legging to your Saint Valentine’s date? I’m sure your date will lake that.

Accessorize it with a belt, preferably a wide one. Of course, you should wear a pair of ballerinas. For this grey shirt, I would choose black leggings and black shoes, and a purple belt and bag.

Hippie Dress

If the next season is about flowers and pastel colors, why wouldn’t you wear them on you? I don’t mean real flowers, but a hippie dress that reminds you of the good old days? The bright colors and the geometrical pattern are inspired by the beautiful summer days when you can see the rainbow. The dress it’s not only delightful, but also comfortable. A must have on hot days.

grammy wrap up

This years Grammys have come and gone. While music's finest have gotten together there seems to be some trends happening with this years dresses. The biggest trend for this year's awards ceremony was neutral and flesh colored tones. Beyonce, and Katy Perry just two of the girls who rocked the flesh color this year. Another big trend was the geometric neckline. There was also a lot of texture This year proved yet again that Grammys are about much more than just music.

Little Black Dress… With Roses

I was never a fan of paisley dresses worn on special occasions. Frankly, I’m not a pattern fan on dresses. I always considered that a dress cut is more important than it color. But this black dress with a rose pattern really caught my attention. It looks to me to be a restyled Victorian dress for our times. So, although the seller marked this lovely black dress as a party dress, I think it is more appropriate for a walk if it is combined with a cardigan.
